The seventh angel pouring out his bowl upon the 'spirit & authority of the air, satan' (eph 2:2). The Angel about to restrain the devil on a short chain. (re.20:1). The shake up, 'an earthquake' so extensive, that the great city, babylon who has a kingdom over the kings of the earth, ( re.17:18) is split into three parts. religion, politics and commerce. The waters that supported her drying up. (re.17:1,15,16). The hail of hard hitting expose' of false religion taking place. The people who demand truth getting out of babylonish religion. Are we with our reasearch not responding to the invitation as birds to peck away at the carcass of this wicked beastly system at the great evening meal of God.(re.19:17,18). The kings of the earth, the traveling merchants, all who make a living by her are begining to stand at a distance from her, soon there is no one to buy there full stock any more.(re.18th chapter) Have we now entered the thousand year reign of Christ, armageddon? Obviously the watchtower view is distorted. However, "the Christ is not to come with stricking observableness. Luke 17:20, 30. Yet there will be a day when He is revealed. Is that day the new millennium? If a day with God is as a thousand years and recognizing that six thousand years of recorded history has preceeded this new millennium then are we not entering the last thousand years of God's rest day? Since the sabbath day would be the same as the previous (creative days) of seven thousand years God's creative project in connection His will being done on earth as in heaven should be accomplished within this next thousand years.
So the question, is this new millennium, the reign of the one thousand years of the day of Jehovah's rule by Christ, the great expose' of error, 'Armageddon' ? Notice, Rev.16:15, the verse that proceeds the reference to Armageddon in the 16th, infer's that it is an expose'. This would be in harmony with the promised resurrection for judgement on all mankind that has ever lived.
note: In this war Christ fights with an instructional sword of the spirit, Eph. 6:17; Heb.4:12,13, the long sharp sword of his mouth. Rev.19:11-21. Eventually replacing the one world government,' the eighth king' the wild beastly government structure that does away with 'false religious systems, that "has a kingdom over the the kings of the earth". Rev.17:11,15-18.
